Scientific & Medical Library
Scientific Medical library library was established in 1957, when all of the institute's departments were established. The first employees were Nina Nikolaevna Devyatova and Zoya Amirzhanovna Kinzhegulova.
The library is a well-equipped scientific medical library with thousands of books, including English texts, electronic resources, and online databases, featuring its own electronic catalog and providing a resource-rich environment for students, including dedicated hostel libraries with extensive collections.

The library's modern facilities allow for specialized reading rooms for accessing electronic resources. Faculty and students can use five circulation desks, four reading rooms, and an electronic resources room with internet access.
For independent work, the university library offers access to remote databases and electronic libraries, including the electronic library systems "Physician Consultant," "Student Consultant," EBSCO, "Cochrane Library," and "Paragraph," among others. Currently, library users have access to over 20 full-text databases. An electronic document delivery service has been implemented. The reference and bibliographic apparatus includes subject, systematic, alphabetical, and electronic catalogs. Document processing is based on the Universal Decimal Classification (UDC) and the complete 4th edition of "Medical Headings. Medical Subject Headings. Russian Version of the Thesaures." Based on the IRBIS-64 automated library information system, the electronic catalog includes the bibliographic databases "Books," "Book Supply for the Educational Process," "Articles," "Documents in the National Language," "Documents in Foreign Languages," and "E-Books." A full-text electronic library, "Research Papers of Staff," is being developed. The library's activities are aimed at improving information support for new areas of development in medical education, science, and healthcare. In fulfilling its functions, the library maintains its best traditions, complementing them with new methods of work, striving for qualitative growth.
To address its core objectives, the university library collaborates with the Association of Libraries of Universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the International Association of Users and Developers of Electronic Libraries and New Information Technologies (ELNIT), and, since 2020, has been a full member of the Association of Medical Libraries of the CIS.
