Academic Council
The Academic Council is an elected collegial body.
When considering issues referred by the Charter of the University and/or the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the exclusive competence of the Company's bodies, decisions taken on these issues are considered recommendatory. The term of office of the Academic Council is 3 years.
The work of the Academic Council is guided by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Standard Regulations of the Academic Council of a higher educational institution, the Charter of the Company. The Academic Council is headed by the Chairman of the Board – the Rector of the Society. The personal composition of the Academic Council is approved by the order of the Chairman of the Board the Rector of the Society.
Within its competence, the Academic Council performs the following functions:
- Сonsideration of issues and decision-making on scientific, educational, methodological and educational activities;
- Consideration of a long-term plan for the development of educational, laboratory and scientific laboratory facilities;
- Consideration of issues of awarding academic titles to teaching and scientific staff;
- Review and approval of internal regulations;
- Decision-making on all issues of the organization of the educational process;
- Consideration of issues related to the implementation of the Strategic Development Plan of the University;
- Consideration of the main issues and decision-making of the university's social development;
- Summing up the results of the University's activities over the past academic year;
- Periodic review of reports on the educational, research and educational work of the Society;
- Consideration of reports on the activities of other structural units that are part of the Company;
- Consideration of educational programs of higher and postgraduate education in accordance with state standards of compulsory education for approval by the Council of the Society;
- Consideration of other issues related to the Company's activities and requiring a collective decision.
- Meetings of the Academic Council are held once a month in accordance with the approved work plan.
- If necessary, meetings of the Academic Council are held unscheduled. To organize the preparation of issues discussed at the Academic Council, monitor the implementation of decisions taken, summarize experience and develop proposals to improve the forms and methods of work of the Council, an academic secretary is appointed from among its members. for a period of 3 years by order of the Chairman of the Management Board – the Rector of the Company.
- The responsibility for the timely and high-quality preparation of materials for the meetings of the Academic Council and the maintenance of the minutes of the Academic Council rests with the Academic Secretary.
